Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assembly requires basic tools.

  1. Install steering lap bars: Attach to control panel with provided bolts.
  2. Attach seat: Mount seat on sliding rail and secure with bolts.
  3. Install battery: Connect red (+) then black (-) terminals; secure in tray.
  4. Add engine oil: Use SAE 10W-30, fill to dipstick "Full" mark.
  5. Add fuel: Use unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum).
  6. Check tire pressure: Inflate to 15 PSI (front) and 10 PSI (rear).

WARNING! Do not attempt to start engine before adding oil and fuel. Keep hands clear of moving parts during assembly.

Controls and Operation

Familiarize yourself with controls before operation.

  1. Pre-start checklist: Check oil, fuel, tire pressure, and clear area of debris.
  2. Starting: Sit on seat, engage parking brake, set throttle to "Fast", turn key to start.
  3. Steering: Push both lap bars forward to move forward; pull back to reverse. For turns, move one bar slower than the other.
  4. Cutting height: Adjust lever while deck is disengaged.
  5. Engage blades: Pull PTO (Power Take-Off) lever to engage cutting blades.
  6. Shutdown: Disengage PTO, set throttle to "Slow", turn key off, engage parking brake.

CAUTION! Always disengage blades when not cutting. Do not operate on slopes greater than 15 degrees.

  2. Bagging: Attach grass bagger to rear chute. Empty bag when full.
  3. Side Discharge: Remove mulch plug; attach discharge chute for ejection to side.
  4. Blade Care: Sharpen blades every 25 hours; replace if bent or damaged.
  5. Deck Cleaning: Clean underside after each use to prevent rust and buildup.

Tip: For best results, mow when grass is dry and never remove more than 1/3 of grass height at once.
