  4. Fuel System: Replace inline fuel filter annually. Clean fuel tank sediment cup if equipped.

CAUTION! Engine is hot during/after operation. Allow to cool before servicing.

Drive System

6-speed transmission with friction disc drive and power steering.

  1. Drive Belt Inspection: Check for cracks, fraying, or glazing. Replace if worn.
  2. Belt Replacement: Release tension, remove belt guard, slip off old belt. Route new belt per diagram. Adjust tension.
  3. Traction Adjustment: Adjust drive control cable for full engagement/disengagement.
  4. Power Steering: Ensure steering rods are lubricated and linkages are tight.

Tip: Keep drive system free of ice and packed snow buildup.

Auger and Impeller

Steel auger and impeller assembly with shear bolt protection.

  1. Shear Bolt Replacement: If auger stops turning, inspect shear bolts. Remove broken bolt, install new 1/4" x 1-1/2" grade 2 bolt with nut. Do not use harder bolt.
  2. Auger Belt: Inspect for wear. Replace if cracked. Adjust tension per manual.
  3. Lubrication: Lubricate auger shaft bearings at start of season.
  4. Impeller Clearance: Check impeller to housing clearance (1/8 inch max). Adjust if needed.

WARNING! Always disconnect spark plug before working on auger/impeller.

Electrical System

Electric start, headlights, and heated grips.

Storage & Off-Season Care

Proper storage prevents corrosion and fuel system issues.
