Assembly & Setup

  6. Add fuel: Use fresh unleaded gasoline with stabilizer.

Speed Selection: 6 forward speeds (1 slowest, 6 fastest), 2 reverse speeds. Auger Control: Engage only when ready to clear snow. Chute Control: Rotate 190 degrees with crank, adjust angle with deflector lever. Steering: Power steering activates when drive lever is engaged.

Starting the Engine

Follow these steps for safe engine starting.

  1. Move unit to clear area outdoors.
  2. Check oil and fuel levels.
  3. Set throttle to FAST position.
  4. Set choke to FULL position (cold engine).
  5. Turn key to START position (electric) or pull recoil starter (manual).
  6. After engine starts, gradually move choke to OFF position.
  7. Allow engine to warm up for 2-3 minutes.

Tip: For electric start, plug cord into unit first, then into 120V outlet.

Operating Instructions

Proper technique ensures efficient snow removal.

  1. Select appropriate speed for snow conditions (slower for heavy/wet snow).
  2. Engage auger before entering snow.
  3. Overlap each pass by several inches for complete clearing.
  4. Adjust discharge chute direction before engaging auger.
  5. Use lower speeds when turning or maneuvering.
  6. For slopes, operate across slope, not up and down.
  7. If unit becomes clogged, turn off engine and use cleanout tool.
  8. After use, run engine for a few minutes to dry internal components.

WARNING! Never operate on gravel surfaces without adjusting skid shoes to protect auger.
