Assembly Instructions

Unpack all parts. Assembly requires basic tools (included).

  1. Attach handle: Align lower handle with deck brackets, secure with provided bolts.
  2. Install upper handle: Connect to lower handle, tighten knobs.
  3. Attach grass bag: Hook bag frame onto rear deck brackets.
  4. Install side discharge chute (if not mulching): Snap into place on deck opening.
  5. Add engine oil: Use SAE 30 detergent oil (approx. 20 oz). Check dipstick.
  6. Add gasoline: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum).

WARNING! Do not start engine until assembly is complete and oil/gas are added.

Starting, mowing, and stopping procedures.

  1. Starting: Set height lever. Move engine control to CHOKE (cold start). Pull recoil starter. Move to FAST after engine starts.
  2. Engaging Drive: Squeeze drive control lever on handle to move forward. Release to stop drive.
  3. Cutting Height: Adjust lever while mower is stopped. Higher for tall grass, lower for fine lawn.
  4. Stopping: Release drive control. Move engine control to STOP. Wait for blade to stop completely.
  5. 3-in-1 Function: Use lever to select bagging (grass collection), mulching (fine clippings), or side discharge (for wet/heavy grass).

Tip: Overlap mowing passes by 2-3 inches for even cut.

Maintenance Schedule

Storage Instructions

Prepare mower for off-season storage.

  1. Drain fuel tank or add fuel stabilizer and run engine for 5 minutes.
  2. Change engine oil.
  3. Clean mower thoroughly, especially underside of deck.
  4. Remove spark plug, add 1 tablespoon of oil into cylinder, pull starter slowly to coat, reinstall plug.
  5. Store in dry, covered area. Cover mower to keep dust-free.

CAUTION! Never store with fuel in tank indoors or near open flame.
