Assembly Instructions

Unpack all parts and inspect for damage. Assembly requires basic tools (included).

Controls and Operation

Handle Controls: Drive control lever, height adjustment lever, bail (safety) handle.

Starting: 1. Push primer bulb 3 times (cold engine). 2. Set throttle to FAST. 3. Pull recoil starter firmly. Stopping: Release bail handle; engine stops. Move throttle to STOP.

Self-Propelled Operation: Squeeze drive control lever to handle to engage drive; release to stop movement. Speed adjusts with throttle setting.

Cutting Height Adjustment

Single-lever adjustment changes height for all four wheels simultaneously.

  1. Stop engine and ensure blade has stopped rotating.
  2. Pull height adjustment lever outward from deck.
  3. Move lever to desired height setting (1-6).
  4. Release lever to lock into position.

  8. Tighten bolt securely (40-50 ft-lbs).

WARNING! Always wear heavy gloves when handling blades.

Storage & Winterization

Proper storage prevents fuel system issues and corrosion.

  1. Run engine to warm oil, then drain and refill with fresh oil.
  2. Add fuel stabilizer to tank, run engine 5 minutes to circulate.
  3. Either: (a) Drain fuel tank and carburetor completely, OR (b) Fill tank completely with stabilized fuel.
  4. Clean underside of deck thoroughly.
  5. Remove spark plug, add 1 tablespoon oil to cylinder, pull starter slowly to coat, reinstall plug.
  6. Store in dry, covered area.
