Assembly & Setup

Controls and Operation

Cutting Deck Adjustment

Proper deck leveling ensures an even cut.

  1. Park on level surface. Set deck to middle height position.
  2. Measure blade tip height from ground at all four corners of deck (front-left, front-right, rear-left, rear-right).
  3. Adjust front height: Turn front lift rod adjustment nuts to raise/lower front of deck. Front should be 1/8" to 1/4" LOWER than rear.
  4. Adjust side-to-side level: Turn adjustment nuts on the deck hangers on each side.
  5. Re-measure after adjustments.

WARNING! Disconnect spark plug wire before working under the deck. Ensure deck is securely supported.

Storage & Winterization

Proper storage prevents fuel system issues and corrosion.

  1. Final Mow: Run mower to use up remaining fuel, or add fuel stabilizer to a full tank and run for 5 minutes.
  2. Change Oil: Change engine oil while engine is warm.
  3. Remove Battery: Disconnect, clean terminals, and store battery in a cool, dry place on a wood surface. Charge monthly.
  4. Clean: Thoroughly clean mower and deck underside. Lubricate all moving parts.
  5. Cover: Store in a clean, dry place. Use a breathable cover.
