Safety Information

Read and understand all safety instructions before operation.

  1. Always wear appropriate safety gear: eye protection, hearing protection, sturdy shoes.
  2. Clear mowing area of debris, rocks, and other objects before operation.
  3. Never allow children or untrained persons to operate the mower.
  4. Do not operate on slopes greater than 15 degrees.
  5. Disengage PTO and engage parking brake before dismounting.

WARNING! Rotating blades can cause severe injury. Keep hands and feet away from deck during operation. Engine components become extremely hot; allow to cool before servicing.

Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assembly requires two people.

  1. Install steering levers: Attach to control panel with provided hardware.
  2. Attach seat: Bolt seat assembly to frame using included bolts and washers.
  3. Install battery: Connect red (+) cable first, then black (-) cable.
  4. Check tire pressure: Inflate to 15 PSI (front) and 10 PSI (rear).
  5. Add engine oil: Use SAE 30 or 10W-30, fill to full mark on dipstick.
  6. Add fuel: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum).

CAUTION! Ensure all bolts are tightened to specified torque. Check for loose parts before first use.

Controls and Operation

Operator station: Steering levers, PTO switch, Ignition key, Throttle, Choke, Parking brake, Seat adjustment lever.

Starting Procedure: 1. Sit in seat. 2. Engage parking brake. 3. Move steering levers to neutral outward position. 4. Set throttle to halfway. 5. Turn ignition key to START. 6. Once started, adjust throttle to desired speed.

Driving: Push levers forward to go forward, pull back to reverse. To turn, move one lever slower than the other. For zero-turn, move one lever forward and the other backward.

Stopping: Return levers to neutral, engage parking brake, turn key to OFF.

Cutting Deck Operation

Engage PTO only when engine is at full throttle.

  1. Adjust cutting height: Use deck lift lever to desired position (1.5-4.5 inches).
  2. Engage blades: Move PTO switch to ON position.
  3. Mowing patterns: Overlap each pass by 2-3 inches for even cut.
  4. Disengage blades: Move PTO switch to OFF before stopping or reversing.

Tip: Mow at slower speeds in tall or wet grass for optimal performance.
