Safety Information

  1. Clear mowing area of debris, stones, and toys before use.
  2. Never operate without proper guards, plates, or grass catcher.

Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assembly requires basic tools (included).

  1. Attach handle: Secure upper and lower sections with provided bolts.
  2. Install wheels: Insert axles and secure with retaining clips.
  3. Attach discharge chute: Align with deck opening and secure with wing nut.
  4. Install grass bag: Hook onto rear deck brackets.
  5. Add oil and gasoline: Use SAE 30 oil (20 oz) and unleaded gasoline (87 octane).

CAUTION! Ensure all fasteners are tight before operation. Do not over-tighten plastic components.

Controls and Operation

Handle Controls: Drive control lever, height adjustment lever, engine throttle, recoil starter.

Starting Procedure:

  1. Check oil and fuel levels.
  2. Move throttle to FAST position.
  3. Prime engine (3-4 presses).
  4. Pull recoil starter firmly.
  5. Adjust speed with drive control lever.

Stopping: Release drive lever, move throttle to STOP, wait for blades to stop.

Height Adjustment: Move single lever to desired position (1-6).

Cutting System Setup

Configure for mulching, bagging, or side discharge.

  1. Mulching: Install mulch plug in discharge opening.
  2. Bagging: Attach grass bag to rear brackets.
  3. Side Discharge: Remove mulch plug; ensure discharge chute is installed.

Tip: For best mulching results, mow when grass is dry and not too tall.
